What a joke!

Islamic countries have no idea of what democracy is - they're dragged down by medieval mumbo-jumbo, feudal social structures and ruled by whoever has more weapons and cash to buy loyalty. Just look at Egypt to see what a waste of time and lives their "Revolution" was, at Pakistan to see modern thinking "a la Jihadi", at Saudi Arabia to see how ignorant tent-dwellers behave with a few bucks in their pockets - the list goes on and on.

Democracy was "invented" 2,500 years ago - I'm afraid the Arab countries have a few thousand years of development ahead of them before they'll even begin to grasp the concept.

“The US Secretary of State said that Bulgaria has effected its transition from an authoritarian regime to democracy in an exemplary way.
"It is a great pleasure to see the progress you achieved in deepening democracy," said Clinton, adding that countries from the Arab World could learn from Bulgaria.
She commended the Sofia Platform initiative taken up by Bulgarian Foreign Affairs Minister Nikolay Mladenov, bringing democracy activists from the Arab countries, including those that experienced the Arab spring.According to Clinton, Bulgaria is in the position to exert influence and to spread its good example to other countries.”

Surely the Americans could have said something a bit more plausible and not this garbage?

Clinton should fire her speechwriter and get one that writes facts not fiction!

Bulgaria Deplores Failure of UN Syria Resolution

RUSSIA and China today vetoed a UN resolution calling for the Syrian President to step down.
The UN Security Council voted on a draft resolution backing an Arab call to make Bashar Assad give up power in Syria.

This is what the vote was about asking Assad to go and in the process stopping the bloodshed.

The UN does not have a mandate to interfere in another nations affairs or authorise military force, NATO does.

Why are the Americans now so concerned at the plight of the Syrians, when they have been responsible for hundreds of thousands of Arabs deaths?

It doesn’t take much working out which country is an ally of Syria and borders it ?

"History will not forgive those who support a dictatorship that is killing hundreds, stated Bulgarian FM Nikolay Mladenov on the vetoed UN Security Council resolution on Syria."-Mr.Mladenov,
Yoy've accused not Russia/China, but NATO/USA/GB...Don't You
realize? To declare "History will not forgive" after Yugoslavia, Irak
(~1mln victims), Afghan, Libya(dozens of thousands), plus chaos
& civil unrest in all of them...Now Syria: Look, straight after that
half-mad suRice' histeria in UNSC about killed civilians [in Homs], the 'rebels' changed their claim on 200+dead to 50 odd-isn't it strange? Stranger still is to suggest that Syrian troops on the eve of the vote in SC(of crusual significance for Assad) would decide on a massacre to "kill" just Assad' chances. So, Mr. Mladenov it was the "rebels"action. "Rebels": created, guided & heavily supported by the only "True Democracies" aka NATO/USA/GB...And don't worry, Mr. Mladenov, these "Democracies" won't stop. To kill hundreds of thousands of innocents is in their nature.
Their Pride is irresistible & the coming chaos in Syria is inevitable.
"True Democracies" Pride do guarantee it for sure. Toast.

Ideal Standard VP East Region Vassil Kanev: Bulgaria Under-Appreciated as Investment, Business Location

Some years ago I was the purchasing manager for the UK division of the worlds largest supplier of building materials and, as such, was Ideal Standards largest customer in the UK and Europe so it is interesting to hear this man's view of things. I do believe that Bulgaria is poised to capture some good investment and the government should be pleased with the way the economy is shaping up against many western European countries. The main stumbling bloc to investment in Bulgaria is OC and corruption and a transparency in the bureaucracy in setting up a business. Some departments and officials give themselves too much power and government allows it and it becomes frustrating for a foreign national to start up a business that, after all, would benefit the country and its people by paying taxes and employing locally .

I think we should be thankful that the Russian and Chinese governments are being honest and not two faced. They both recognise that there are serious doubts about their own regimes being cast in a similar mode to Syria's so to condemn Syria is to condemn themselves. Unfortunately their own pride condemns many 00's or 000's of more syrians to death and torture.

Inconsistency and Prejudice in EU Argument about Turkey's Membership

Turkey is a wonderful country. It isn't in denial about the Armenia Genocide. It doesn't imprison people who dare to even mention that Genocide. It isn't oppressing and murdering Kurds. It isn't occupying an EU member state. It's bang in the middle of Europe. It isn't a medieval state in fear of its own military and sliding away from the ideals of Ataturk. It isn't currying favour with repellent Islamist states in an attempt to show that it isn't humiliated by EU rejection.

Everything in the Turkish garden is rosy - what's to argue about, for Pete's sake?

Russia, China Veto UN Resolution on Syria

"Meanwhile, the Bulgarian National Radio, BNR, reported that Russia is turning into a MAIN PROBLEM at the security conference in Munich by refusing to collaborate not only with the resolution against the regime in Syria, but also on reaching consensus on the future missile defense shield in Europe." Nice example of "True Media"(TM) work!!! TM=Brainwash=Commi/Goebbels propaganda.
So, Russia is the main problem because:
(1)It didn't allow extend the shameful & bloody "Libyan scenario"(condom №1973) on Syria. How those Russians dared to bark against NATO' "democratic" bombing/killing, against "True Democratic Values" export to Syria?
(2)"Russia refuses to collaborate on reaching concensus on
missile DEFENCE(?)shield in Europe." Are You OK, guys? How
to reach, if NATO makes NO SMALLEST concession, if "shield" is clear SWORD aimed at Russia, but NATO "doesn't see" it.....
So, well done, guys. You obligingly prepare media floor for the
new Crusade. Under "True Democracy" flag, sure. Toast.
